Ga-yeong (Yum Jung Ah) is a very successful businesswoman who lives with her father. Her mother had died when she was young. Because of a one-night stand she has with younger colleague Jae-seong (Bong Tae-gyu) which gets her pregnant, she gives up a position in the New York branch and decides to get married. Just when she was about to return to work after the birth of her first child, she becomes pregnant with a second child and has no choice but to give up her career altogether and become a regular housewife. For the next six years, Ga-yeong has become a rough mother with two boys born just a year apart from each other. Her immature husband, Jae-seong, is too busy chasing after his colleague at work, Eun-ji (Cha Ye Ryun) that he’s not interested in what’s going on in the household. In addition, Ga-yeong gets furious when Jae-seong’s secret trip to a swimming pool with Eun-ji is caught on TV. Ga-yeong is so mad that she calls up Eun-ji’s mother, Bok-shil (Kim Ja-ok), who in turn, verbally attacks Ga-yeong. Ga-yeong’s father, Jong-man (Yun Ju-sang), is offended when he hears of this and meets up with Bok-shil to tell her off. But as fate would have it, the elderly couple ends up getting romantically involve Bok-shil is angry that her children think that she’s having a mere fling with Jong-man. To get revenge, she decides to actually get married. Thinking that she could go back to work if Bok-shil takes care of her children, Ga-yeong is all in favor of the marriage. Jae-seong also thinks very favorably of the marriage because he thinks that Bok-shil is very financially wealthy. But after the marriage, Ga-yeong is met with many obstacles as she sets off to go back to work. |
