Mana e un grandissimo compositore, riesce a unire il suono dei vari strumenti presenti formando melodie eccellenti!

I've listened to this before I bought the CD and this album was what made me interested in Moi dix Mois. I love how Mana uses the harpsichord in his music. My favourite song from this album would La dix croix.

I got this cd for Christmas present. It was the only MDM cd that I didn't have.
I liked this cd very much. I hadn't heard these songs for a long time, and it was nice to hear them again ^^
I recommend this cd =D

One whole 2007/12/12
Reviewer: Pagan (NETHERLANDS) |
To me, this album sounds much like a whole. Individual songs sound alike and follow along a similar line, some a little more lovely than others.
There's little else to say about it, other than I do recommend it. Be sure to check out the live DVD of the following tour as well.

For me, this is the best moi dix mois album released so far. not so 'metalish' as the other ones, and more melodic.

Out of all releases by M10M, 'Dix Infernal' is one of my faves. The entire album is full of this unique style which makes it a wonderful experience. The lyrics are catchy and Juka's voice adds just the right feeling to the songs.

The best one! 2007/03/21

Ok, I have just about every album of Moi dix Mois' and I have to say this one is the BEST one out of them all! There is something enchanting if not mesmerizing about the music on this album. I did hear their newer work first and somehow ended up listening to this after, but still by far my favorite album of theirs! Really takes you to another world!

It Begins... 2006/10/25

The first chapter of Mana's solo venture is a beautiful work. I do have a complaint:
The guitar is only prominently featured in a few songs. The other songs use it as harmony and to give it more character. This doesn't detract from the music, but I do like to hear the guitar be featured a little more. Luckily, it's like Mana was reading my mind because he fixes that very well in his future releases.
This album is sometimes pooh-poohed by people as "sounding all the same". Granted, many songs use the same instrumentation, but they all have something fresh and unique to contribute. This has some of Mana's very best work (i.e., Front et Baiser, Gloire Dans le Silence, etc.). The harpsichord played over organ and guitar masterfully captures the dark, wild, and fiery imagery you find in the booklet. Mana uses counterpoint beautifully, and his compositions are excellent. The drums, because they were recorded and added separately, sometimes detract from the piece, but they work well at other times, so it evens out. This is a good representation of Moi dix Mois--I'd recommend it to anyone interested in Mana.

It came in the mail today :D This album contains some of my favourite songs by Moi dix Mois, like 'La Dix Croix', 'Ange' and 'Pessimiste' so I'm very happy with it. The booklet is gorgeous too.
