Miki Ichinose (Mirai Shida) is the girl next door. She is an average junior high school second grader, who likes spending time with her friends and prefers extra curricular activities to studying.  She also enjoys dating her year-older boyfriend, Satoshi Kirino (Haruma Miura). Her teenager life, however, becomes no longer typical when she gets pregnant and decides to  keep the baby…

Everybody objects her decision to become a mother at such a young age. Her family and relatives worry about what others will say. Her teachers and classmates are only concerned with their school’s reputation. Even Satoshi refuses to accept his future role as a father. Miki feels that nobody is on her side, and almost decides to give up the baby. But she suddenly
realizes and says to herself: “Everyone is against me except for one person, the one who is inside me; my baby!”

Miki finally decides to keep the baby, and flees home to find a place to give birth peacefully. Her journey is, of course, full of hurdles: People, when finding out about her situation, begin
pointing fingers. And some even become abusive towards her. Still, as in every journey, goodhearted people are always there to help. In such a harsh situation, Miki never loses her cheerful
and positive attitude, because she already knows she will never be alone again. As Miki begins to show, she also matures mentally by rousing maternal instincts, attaining strength and tenderness as a future mother.

Following a girl’s coming-of-age story, in front of our eyes unfolds a human drama exploring the various faces of love

2.  Captivating Drama - best I've seen in over a year [Rating: 10/10]
Lately, I have been resorting to Korean dramas since most of the Japanese ones in 2006 weren't all that wonderful. Simply put - there are three reasons why this story turned out well:

1. The plot and theme is unique. There are several movies/dramas about having a baby, but this topic is extremely taboo, since children bearing children is considered quite an embarassing thing.
2. The entire cast was necessary. Each and every main/support character had a serious influence on Miki and Satoshi - and since the story and plot is particularly interesting to begin with, acting out the parts was almost instinctual for everyone.
3. There is a resolution, but a possible set up for a continuation. Since a 14 year old bearing a baby is quite a substantial subject, instead of cramming an entire way of life into one season, the production leaves off at a point where everyone can be happy, but the future is completely in question.

Altogether, I think this is a must-see if you consider yourself a fan of Jyou no Kyoushitsu, Shida Mirai, Shotgun Marriage, and other great dramas that have dealt with difficult questions. The OST is magnificent, the quality of actors is superb, and the experience is captivating.

On a final note, I will also say that this drama gives an incredible view on abortion. I won't spoil, but while countries like America babble about morality and narcissism, dramas like this bring up points not to be ignored whatsoever.

5.  A pretty decent series [Rating: 8/10]
Shida Mirai does a great job as Ichinose Miki and carries her role out quite well for her age. Tanaka Misako and Namase Katsuhisa play her parents very well having played similar roles in Brother Beat. The main weakness of this dorama is with Miura Haruma who seems to always just have this stunned look on his face and Kaito Ken's character seems a bit underdeveloped. But otherwise, a pretty good series!

6.  A story that is always repeated can! [Rating: 7/10]
The story is often repeated in this world, it also makes frequent errors, sometimes the same mistakes again and again

Well, should also make the anrede trust and mutual trust!
The girl is in a delicate situation, not to trust their parents, because the do not have time, friendship also has its complex and more…

A sad drama that is not necessarily must-see! but it can correct any person today!
